Winsor & Newton professional watercolour - Revival Colours
Aureolin Hue:
A bright yellow, made with a modern synthetic pigment. It's a more sustainable alternative to cobalt yellow. This colour was originally introduced by Winsor & Newston in 1831.
Field's Orange:
This is a single-pigment, high-chroma red-orange, inspired by George Field’s legendary vermillion.
Field's Orange was featured in Queen Victoria’s personal watercolour box.

Tyrian Purple:

Viridian Hue is a transparent emerald green colour. Named after the Latin for green 'viridis', it closely matches genuine Viridian.
Cinnabar Green:

Ultramarine Ash:
This is a beautiful transparent soft granulating grey-blue that offers breadth in its tinting and toning possibilities. Historically an inferior grade of Ultramarine but prized for muted, ethereal tones.
Mineral Grey:
Semi transparent grey with a greenish tone that offers ready solutions to softer toning as well as granular textures.
Ostwald Grey:
Opaque warm grey perfect for toning, providing a soft granulating texture that mixes beautifully with other colours. It's named after Wilhelm Ostwald, a scientist and colour theorist.
